I am sick of people using characteristics of other people as slurs.
I am also sick of people that constantly need to SHOVE their peer-pride in the faces of others.

You are gay? Good for you. Have fun with it. We are talking about running around in virtual worlds and do wicked stuff with cool weapons. In this context, why should ANYTHING other than your skill be of any importance??
As long as the sexual orientation MATTERS, we will always have that sort of troubles. What the EFF does "what i do in my bedroom" have to do with "how people value me as a person"? Why should that even be of interest (except when i want to actually HAVE sex with a particular person)?

I want to enjoy a movie, discuss a book, hang out or whatever. And i do that with People with compatible taste in movies/books personalities and not compatible SEXUALITIES. We really need to clean up our behaviour. REGARDLESS of our sexuality.

I am very old and play on XBOX live. And i get a LOT of shit thrown my way just because of that. If it disturbs me, i mute the offenders. After the game i block them. They are gone.

I do NOT RUN AROUND AND MAKE AN ISSUE OUT OF IT. Because that just invokes more senseless fighting. Use that energy to cure cancer or something and not to publicly state your sexuality in all places proper or not.
If you want to be treated as equals, stop bitching about privileges you dont have.

It's pretty clear that this is a widespread issue that really needs to be tackled. It's good to see that Microsoft is working to fix the problem but as yet they don't seem to have made any real impact.

I would encourage GLAAD to continue putting pressure on Microsoft (and other online gaming providers) on this issue.

Why did she announce her sexuality in the first place? Look, I don't care if you are lesbian, heterosexual, bisexual, blue, red, or yellow. Xbox Live is for people to play online, not to announce your sexuality. Why would you do that unless you wanted attention? If I had kids, I wouldn't them to be playing online with people who feel the need to talk about their sexuality. Xbox Live isn't match.com or date.com. Go do that somewhere else. Of course that's my opinion.
